World Cup Socks – Olise (Mint)

I always wanted a pair of trainer socks that actually did the job. I wanted them to be lower than a normal pair of socks so that you didn’t get that weird ‘elephant trunk / 1800s school boy’ look when wearing them with trainers and equally I don’t really like those invisible socks that many people tend to wear now. So I designed my own trainer sock with a little bit of cuff and a whole load of comfort. These socks come in six lovely colours to match all trainers and shorts, with some of the colourways inspired by the upcoming summer football tournament. I mean you would be hard-pressed to convince people that anyone other than France is going to win the big one this year and that is fine. Their away shirt is a belter and pays homage to the Statue of Liberty that the French gave to the Americans as a gift. I like the minty colour mixed with the red, white and blue of France, plus how elegant and relaxed these socks are on-foot. These are made for us in Leicester by Iain and his amazing team. We have been working with them for over ten years now, which is a bit crazy, there is even a short film below about them making these socks for us.
