LETRS Early Childhood

Early Childhood LETRS® Training Enrollment: Fall 2026 LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling), developed by Dr. Louisa Moats and Dr. Carol Tolman, provides teachers with the skills they need to master the fundamentals of reading instruction—phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language. Enrollment Details This online enrollment form is for Early Childhood LETRS, starting Fall 2026 at ESSDACK (Hutchinson). Please only complete this form once a final commitment to the training has been made. Materials: Once the enrollment period officially closes, all training materials will be purchased and distributed by the state. KSDE will not purchase materials for a person that has previously enrolled in the course and did not complete. Member Price - $150 Non-Member Price - $300 Commitment & Requirements Please only enroll teachers who have agreed to the rigorous time commitment required for this program. This cohort includes 2 days of professional learning, 4 online units, and a bridge to practice activities to facilitate with students. Attendance Policy: Due to the nature of the course scheduling and materials, no refunds will be issued for missed classes. * Make-up Support: In the event of an unavoidable absence, Shelli Locke (facilitator) will provide support in identifying where and how the missed work can be completed. Exclusions: This cohort is for PreK teachers. Please visit the ESSDACK website to sign up for LETRS for all other grades.
