Lao Cong Old Bush Ye Yun Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea 野韵安溪老丛铁观音

Old bush Tieguanyin Oolong Tea. Qing Xiang 清香 light and fragrant style Tieguanyin. Harvested in May 2023. An old abandoned tea garden in Xianghua region, close to the village where our main range of Jade Oolongs originate from. It is estimated that the bushes are probably around 50-70 years old and have possibly been abandoned around 10-15 years. The 2023 spring harvest was the first plucking. The larger, unkept tea bushes have lower yields than the managed gardens, but the flavours and aromas are more unique and distinctive. No maintenance has been done on the garden so the site remains very natural with wonderful bio-diversity.. The tea is produced in a very traditional, hand made way.
