Antique Etched Glass Bud Vases with Sterling Silver Bases

A beautifully composed set of five antique bud vases, each with a blown glass body resting on a weighted sterling silver base with a gadrooned edge. The forms vary across the group - trumpet, waisted, and slender column - giving the set a pleasing rhythm when arranged together, as though they were always meant to be used this way. Each vase is wheel-etched with a delicate floral and foliate motif, the design cut directly into the glass surface with a characteristic fine, matt finish. Heights range from 17cm to 26cm, making them ideal for single stems at different levels - a honeysuckle trail, a garden rose, a sprig of something foraged.
