Koanophyllum villosum, the Florida shrub thoroughwort, is a medium sized shrub reaching to 6 feet tall. The only place this endangered pine rockland species is found in the US is Miami-Dade County. It also grows in the West Indies. It produces clusters of white, fragrant flowers that attract butterflies and have been described as smelling a little like toothpaste. Plant it in full sun.
