Kenya Kamundu Estate 12oz
Roast Level: Light Medium Process: Natural Elevation: 1800 MASL Region: Kiambu Producer: Single Estate / Kamundu Estate Variety: Ruiru 11, SL28, SL24 Tasting Notes: Mandarin, Black Cherry & Maple Syrup Producer Info: This natural-processed lot is from from Kamundu Estate in Kiambu, Kenya. Kamundu is a coffee farm first established by British colonists but is now one of 6 estates owned and operated by Sasini, a publicly listed company with a majority Kenyan ownership. Sasini’s estates have long placed an emphasis on equity and community. In the case of the estates’ workers this involves the provision of living quarters, early child education, union membership and guaranteed payment above minimum wage. Description: Right off the bat, the mouthfeel is creamy and coating, and those sweet notes we started with get even more complex. This cup maintains the citrus and tangy notes on the front end, and adds in some floral notes of wildflower. The body is medium, and is incredibly rich. The butteriness of it carries on through the seriously smooth finish, and is accompanied by notes of fruit punch, and just a touch of syrup that lingers through. This is another coffee in our rotating selection, so get it while you can! You won't be disappointed!
