2023 Gini Soave La Frosca
• Made with organic grapes • The historical Froscà cru was planted in 1930 • 6 hectare plot of ninety+ year old Garganega vines planted in calcareous and tuffaceous (volcanic) soils • The fruit goes through a soft pressing and immediate cooling of the must • Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation - 80% in stainless steel and 20% in third passage oak barrels • Vinification and fermentation are completely without added SO2 • Maturation for 8 months on the lees in steel and partially in barrel, followed by 6 months in bottle before release. James Suckling 93 Points: "A complex wine with waxy aromas of smoke and peach stones. While acidity carries the finish, the mid-palate shows weight and integration, with a fine peach aftertaste. Drink or hold."
