WAZER® Desktop Waterjet Cutter (110V/60Hz)
Product Description The WAZER Desktop brings industrial waterjet cutting capabilities into a compact CNC machine designed specifically for labs, workshops, schools, and other space-conscious environments. This waterjet fits easily on a desk, workbench, or the WAZER Aluminum Stand, and provides an accessible way to make clean, professional-quality cuts in-house. All you need is a 4 ft × 4 ft operating area, a standard electrical outlet, a water source, and a floor drain or sink. The WAZER is the first desktop-sized waterjet machine capable of cutting a variety of materials with digital precision. It features a high-velocity jet that uses high-pressure water and garnet abrasive particles to cut complex shapes from a wide range of materials. Whether it's steel, titanium, aluminum, glass, ceramic tile, stone, composites, plastics, rubber, or foam, the WAZER delivers consistent results. And because waterjetting is a cold-cutting process, there is no thermal distortion, melting, or discoloration to worry about. With its compact size and professional cutting capabilities, the WAZER makes advanced digital fabrication accessible to small businesses, engineers, educators, and creators who may not have the space or budget for an industrial waterjet system. By bringing precision cutting in-house, users can reduce reliance on outsourced fabrication and produce custom parts on demand. Cutting Performance 0.8 kW Hydraulic Power The WAZER uses a compact, high-pressure pump system that generates enough hydraulic power to cut through hard materials. While it has a much smaller footprint than that of industrial waterjets, it delivers true abrasive waterjet cutting capability in a desktop size. 12" × 18" Cutting Area The machine can cut parts from material sheets up to 12 inches by 18 inches. This size is well-suited for prototypes, custom components, product development, educational projects, artwork, and small-batch production. 0.044" Kerf Width Kerf refers to the width of material removed during cutting. A narrow 0.044-inch kerf allows for detailed designs, intricate geometries, and efficient material usage while maintaining accurate part dimensions. 60-Minute Continuous Cutting The WAZER is designed to cut continuously for up to one hour before requiring a cooldown period. This makes it practical for longer projects and production runs while maintaining reliable performance. Material Capabilities One of the biggest advantages of abrasive waterjet technology is its ability to cut many different materials using the same machine and cutting process. Aluminum Cuts aluminum up to 0.5 inches (13 mm) thick, making it suitable for brackets, fixtures, enclosures, signs, and prototype components. Mild & Stainless Steel Cuts steel materials up to 0.188 inches (5 mm) thick. Ideal for fabrication projects, machine components, sheet metal parts, and engineering prototypes. Glass Cuts glass up to 0.5 inches (13 mm) thick without introducing heat that could cause cracking or distortion. Plastics Handles many common plastics from thin sheet stock up to approximately 0.75 inches (18 mm) thick, depending on the material. Composites Cuts carbon fiber, fiberglass, and similar composite materials up to 0.313 inches (8 mm) thick while minimizing fraying and heat damage. Tile & Stone Cuts ceramic tile and similar materials up to 0.5 inches (13 mm) thick, making it useful for custom decorative work and architectural applications. Rubber & Foam Can process soft materials up to 0.75 inches (21 mm) thick for rubber and up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick for foam. Abrasive System 80-Mesh Almandine Garnet The WAZER uses 80-Mesh Garnet Abrasive, an industry-standard abrasive material known for its balance of cutting speed, edge quality, and material versatility. Garnet particles are mixed with the water stream to provide the cutting power needed for hard materials. Abrasive Consumption The machine uses approximately 0.33 pounds (0.15 kg) of garnet per minute during cutting. This operating cost should be considered when estimating project expenses. Abrasive Collection The cutting tank captures a portion of the used abrasive during operation. Periodic cleaning cycles help maintain performance and remove accumulated garnet from the system. Tank Maintenance Over time, spent abrasive collects inside the tank and must be removed. This is a normal maintenance requirement for abrasive waterjet systems. Specifications Electrical Requirements The WAZER operates from a standard North American electrical outlet, eliminating the need for specialized industrial power infrastructure. • 110V power • 60Hz • 16A circuit • 1700W power consumption Power Main Unit: 110-120 VAC • 60 Hz • 2A • 250W Pump Box: 110-120 VAC • 60 Hz • 12.5A • 1500W Need something with more power?
