PETEY Short Sleeve Shirt in Hummingbird Watercolor Print

This print was inspired by a little friend I met in Mexico. Last year, I was having lunch in Puerto Vallarta, when a baby hummingbird fell out of it's nest and landed right next to me. Tiny and hurt, he nestled in the palm of my hand. The restaurant owner and I made a nest where he could relax and heal. I checked on him every day, but he was still pretty fragile by the time I had to go back home. It pained me to leave him, but the restaurant owner assured me that he would be well cared for. About a week later, I woke to a text message telling me that the baby hummingbird's mother found him in the nest we made for him. She brought him food and watched over him, and in a few days, he was able to fly on his own and return home. In the gallery, I have a picture of the mother circling above him. The baby is looking up at her with his little mouth open The fabric is off-white with the little hummingbirds painted in a watercolors of blue and coral. Fabric is printed in South Korea. Garment is Made in USA of 100% cotton. Trimmed with natural buttons & navy herringbone tape. I live for making shirts & I am a real fanatic about it.
