Hollow

Hollow

Brand: Boketto Paris

The Hollow Mirror by Natalia Landowska is part of Laminae (2026), a series examining the uppermost layers of the earth through ceramic surfaces and material accumulation. The frame is constructed from porcelain clay combined with paper pulp, shaped and fired to retain irregular edges and variations in density. The surface is developed through layered glaze applications, which shift and fragment during firing, producing a textured and unstable perimeter. The reflective mirror plane is set within this structure without attempting formal continuity between materials. The contrast between the precision of the mirror and the variability of the ceramic frame defines the work. Landowska’s practice consistently situates form at the intersection of control and material behaviour.
