Appleby Retreat: 6-13 July 2027

This special 7-night retreat has been timed to coincide with a very special event in Cumbria, marking the unveiling of an important heritage project that our company has been closely involved in. Our retreat will be based at the beautiful Flakebridge Estate, just outside Appleby, where a collection of historic buildings has been transformed into luxurious accommodation for exclusive use. The retreat itself has been designed first and foremost as a relaxing and inspiring stitching escape. There will be ample time to stitch, enjoy the surrounding countryside, and make progress on any embroidery project you wish to bring with you. The itinerary also includes the opportunity to spend time at a special conference held locally as well as a significant ceremonial event, both in connection with our project. More information will be given on this when we are permitted. You will also have the chance to spend an afternoon in Appleby to enjoy the town and visit our studio. Tutors Deborah Wilding and Kate Barlow will lead the retreat on site, offering daily tuition and individual guidance throughout your stay. Meals will be provided on site and you will be provided with equipment (if needed) and given a goody bag at the beginning of your stay.
