Michael Connelly - Angel City, RMT708E

Los Angeles looks glorious from a distance. Up close, Michael Connelly's city is all traffic, night shifts, grime and long shadows, where anyone can be hunted, watched or hired to steal. These stories come from the same restless streets, each with a different kind of danger waiting around the corner. Michael Connelly, The Late Show (Renée Ballard 1) - Detective Renée Ballard works the LAPD's Hollywood night shift, passing every case to the day team by morning. Then she catches a brutal beating and a nightclub killing, and refuses to hand either over. Michael Connelly, Void Moon - Cassie Black is on parole and trying to keep her head down when an offer pulls her back into thieving. The job is to rob gamblers in Las Vegas, but her target is carrying far more money than expected. Michael Connelly, Fair Warning (Jack McEvoy 3) - Reporter Jack McEvoy is questioned by police when a woman he once spent a night with is found dead, her neck broken. Jack soon learns she was one of several victims, all customers of the same genetic testing company.
