Each cup is sound and usable, with a small flaw that differs from one to the next - usually in the glaze, such as a thin patch, a spot of extra texture, or a drip that has run thick. Four different glazes in one set: a white glaze streaked with rust orange; a deep plum, solid and glossy; a bright coral red in dense speckle over white; and a soft pink in finer speckle. Each sits on a bare clay base. Each cup is made in cone 6 midfire stoneware with the glaze applied by hand, so the colour depth and finish are unique to every piece.
