Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik

Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is the debut album from Southern hip hop innovators OutKast. Alongside Goodie Moband Geto Boys, the duo of Big Boi and Andre 3000 helped to put the South of America on the rap music map, forging a path which eventually leading to the trap music boom of the 2010s. Always one for a concept, the pair wrote this record detailing crime and gritty urban life in Atlanta while still in their teens. Andre's and Big Boi's raps are knotty and clever, whilst the live instrumentation and production draws on mellow funk, smoky soul, big bass and snappy snares. Features the classic title track and the anthem 'Player's Ball'.
