We are here to show you why this versatile, beautiful top is so popular. You should be able to complete the short sleeve version (and possibly the long sleeve version) in this 4 session class. If you need help with long sleeves, there will be an available extra session on Dec. 18 that you can purchase now or later. Skills Learned: Cast on methods, short row shaping, sleeve shaping, lace and cable stitches Dates and Class Times: Fridays, 2:00 - 4:00 pm. November 13, November 20, December 4 and December 11 If you would like to make the long sleeve version of the sweater and want instruction on doing this, you should choose the option with the additonal class on Friday, Dec. 18 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Class Size: 6 students (age 16+) maximum. A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held. Fee: $175 for 4 classes, $218.75 with an optional extra class Skill Level: Students have completed at least one garment (pullover, cardigan, tank, camisole) in any size before signing up for this class Materials: Needles: 6 mm (US 10) circular needle as the main needle in 32 inches and 16 inches circulars. 5 mm (US 8) needle in 32 inches for hem ribbing. Adjust the needle sizes if necessary to get gauge, 14 stitches x 20 rows = 10 cm (4”) with main needle in stockinette after wet blocking (ChiaoGoo interchangeable needles and cables are available for purchase at Peninsula Flock Knits) Notions: Plenty of stitch markers, at least 1 for marking end of round and 4 for raglan & center front (use a different shape or color for end of round), progress stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holders such as barber cords or silicone tubes, crochet hook (only for smaller neckline). Yarn: You can use lace, light fingering to worsted weight yarn. The yarn used as shown in the picture was a combination of a fingering weight yarn combined with a silk mohair lace weight. This combined weight created a DK weight. Please refer to the pattern for the amount of yarn needed after choosing which size. You will need to purchase your yarn well before the first class in order to complete the pre-class homework (see below). If you need assistance with getting the correct bust/chest measurement, please come to the store and we can assist you. Pattern: Students will need to have their own copy of the pattern. Cost is approximately $7.00 Homework: Purchase and download/print your own copy of the Ranunculus pattern by Midori Hirose (see above) Select and purchase enough yarn for your sweater. If you are considering making the long-sleeve version, please purchase enough yarn for that in the same dye lot.
