Vase - Steffi Bauer Red

A stoneware vase from Viola Beuscher x Steffi Bauer, a limited collaboration between Frankfurt-based ceramicist Viola Beuscher and the Munich-based illustrator and textile designer Steffi Bauer, whose work often revolves around food, tables and shared meals. Here, Steffi paints motifs such as flowers, a knife and everyday table objects by hand in a glossy red glaze directly onto the raw clay.The vase measures Ø 11 cm and H 23 cm – tall enough for a few long stems or a single branch, compact enough for a shelf, sideboard or table.The exterior is left as raw, unglazed stoneware, so the glossy red illustration stands out against the matte surface. The interior is sealed with a transparent glossy glaze, so the vase holds water.
