Forget about making something perfect and show up to make something interesting instead. Trash to Treasure is a four-class mixed-media course built around experimentation, play, and asking one very useful creative question: “What if I...?” Working with cardboard, paper mache clay, acrylic paint, magazines, newspaper, discarded packaging, and whatever other odd materials catch your attention, you will turn everyday rubbish into original artwork. This course is designed for adults who want to reconnect with making without worrying about whether they already know how to draw, paint, or make “good art.” Each class gives you room to experiment with materials, follow unexpected ideas, and build a finished mixed-media piece. The course wraps up with a small exhibition where everyone gets to put their work on display. About Your Instructor Debqi is a mixed-media artist, chaos goblin and alliteration aficionado who loves trying unfamiliar techniques and asking, “What if I...?” She approaches art as a place to experiment, make a mess, follow strange ideas, and see where they lead.
