Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow

About the Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow The Dwarf Blue Arctic Willow is a popular hedge shrub with fine-textured, blue-green leaves on slender purple stems. It responds well to shearing, making it one of the best choices for a soft, formal low hedge on the prairies. Left unpruned it forms a graceful rounded mound; trimmed, it makes a dense, tidy hedge. The purple twigs add colour in winter. It grows well in moist to average soils and tolerates wet spots where other hedge shrubs struggle. Check out our free PDF Tree Planting Guide.
