Named for its hanging straw and sculptural form, the Baobab Basket echoes Africa’s iconic ‘mother tree’—revered for its generous shade and nourishing fruit. The Baobab tree also inspired the name of our company, Baba Tree, chosen for its warm nature and deep roots in the community. This piece features our signature spiraling technique, a reflection of our bond with land, culture, and craft. Baba baskets are hand woven in Ghana. These baskets are beautiful and functional and are available in various styles, colors and sizes. Each basket is handmade and exact dimensions may vary slightly.
