Walnut Victorian dresser with three broad drawers, a white marble top, and a tall arched mirror. Carved leaf-shaped pulls and scrolling circular motifs decorate the drawer fronts, while turned corner columns define the case. Two small jewelry or catchall boxes sit on the top beneath the mirror supports. The mirror is framed by tall architectural supports with turned details, small platforms, and carved scroll and leaf ornament. Warm walnut grain, pale marble, and the elongated mirror create a substantial bedroom furnishing with generous storage. The dresser belongs to the late-19th-century American Victorian cabinetmaking tradition and has been described in the Eastlake style. Its marble surface, fitted small boxes, and large mirror combine the functions of clothing storage and a dressing station. Shows minor scuffs, scattered discoloration, and light finish wear consistent with age and use. 45.5" W x 20.5" D x 79" H Boxes (x2): 7.25" W x 8.75" D x 2.5" H Drawers: 38.5" W x 15.5" D x 5" H MM - C-12406 - 012225 MM - 102926 This piece will need to ship via freight.
