Frank Cabinet by Nicholas Obeid

Frank Cabinet is a faceted storage cabinet in oiled cerused white oak by Studio Nicholas Obeid, made to order in Los Angeles at 46.5" wide and 61" tall. The frame is oiled cerused white oak. Two asymmetrical doors in ivory lacquer open to adjustable interior shelving, with details in espresso cerused oak. Obeid describes the Frank collection as quiet but graphic — architectural, cantilevered forms working on tonal contrast and material honesty, which is what the three-tone palette is doing here rather than decoration for its own sake. Cerusing fills the open grain of white oak with a contrasting pigment, so the figure of the wood reads as a drawn line across the panel. Set against flat ivory lacquer, it gives the cabinet two entirely different surfaces without introducing a second material. Designed 2026. Custom options available — please inquire.
