Marcela Mittens, Cowl and Tam Kit by Virginia Sattler-Reimer

We adore Virginia Sattler-Reimer's Marcela Socks and were thrilled when she decided to design mittens, a cowl and a tam based on the same gorgeous colourwork motif! The Marcela Accessory Set features different iterations of the intricate flower- and nature-inspired pattern Virginia developed for the Marcela Socks. The designs are named after Marcela, the shepherdess of Don Quixote (published in 1605), whose feminist message still resonates today, and who refused to live her life on anyone's terms but her own. For the Marcela Accessory Set, Virginia used a combination of our Devon Naturals 4ply and Knit by Numbers 4ply to get as close to the colour scheme of the Marcela Socks as possible while exploring two other yarn ranges! We've put together individual kits in the sample shades for the mittens, the cowl and the tam, and a full kit for the entire set.
