Imani-J – Platinum Status

# FIRST 50 COPIES WILL BE SIGNED # Platinum Status is the bold, unapologetic sophomore EP from Haitian-New Zealand artist Imani-J that celebrates identity, self-belief and the pursuit of success on her own terms. Blending Afrobeats with a distinctive, genre-fluid edge, the EP marks a new chapter in her evolution, pairing fearless storytelling with a sound that’s entirely her own. Led by standout single “FLY”, a defiant response to the doubters, Platinum Status is a statement of ambition, resilience and cultural pride. From the confidence of “FLY” to the deeply personal “emily”, a tribute to her mother, Imani-J channels her Haitian heritage and lived experience into a project rooted in growth, gratitude and the belief that her future is hers to create. Written across Aotearoa, London and Los Angeles, collaboration for Platinum Status crossed oceans and captures an artist finding her direction, trusting her creativity and stepping confidently into her next era.
