Ilex glabra 'Shamrock' / Dwarf Inkberry

Inkberry is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that native landscapers adore for it's visual appeal and year round color. Female Inkberry shrubs will produce their namesake berries if pollinated by a nearby male plant. Ilex glabra is low maintenance and requires minimal pruning, making it an ideal choice as a native landscape shrub or hedgerow. Grows best in full sun to part shade in medium to wet acidic soils. ‘Shamrock’ is a compact, female cultivar that matures at 3 to 4 feet tall.
