Gut Oggau - Maskerade Rose NV

Maskerade Rose NV is a natural wine crafted by Gut Oggau, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This lovely rose wine is made with a mix of Rösler, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch grapes, amongst a few others. The Maskerade range was originally made to showcase vineyard at the start of their holistic conversion, but nowadays are fully converted but can sometimes feature trickier fermentations and sometimes a tiny amount of residual sugar, which with their no sulphur approach can occasionally start to referment, which is why the bottles are sealed with caps and not corks, which would push out. How does Maskerade NV by Gut Oggau taste? Wow!! Drinks almost inbetween a dark rose and a super light red. Lovely red berry fruit, vanilla, herbs, spice, very minor residual sugar that really works. This is sensational for the price!!
