Neighbours

It started with the idea of drawing animals on the Albert Cuyp markt, eating stroopwafels. I loved drawing the city around it so much, that I decited to draw the rest of this beautiful city too, with al the "people" in it. Just as animals, like I usually like imagining. With neighbours I actually am showing a part of Amsterdam that has nearly disappeared, as most neighbours in Amsterdam don't even know eachother anymore. But living in de Jordaan, I know how it used to be. Having coffee with a neighbour and keeping an eye out for them used to be the norm. I am happy to know my neighbours in the building at lest and we still keep an eye out for eachother. Although we don't share a coffee through the window ;) Eventually, they will all be in a book, a kind of love letter to the city I love living in so much! For now they will be available as cards and prints. The fine art prints are available in other sizes too, ask me about the possibilities. Fine art prints are made on order, so it may take up to 7 business days for them to be ready to sent out. They are signed and numbered and only 12 of each will be printed in this manner.
