The Black Locust Top: Chosen for its legendary density and rugged beauty, the top is composed of two "live-edge" slabs of Black Locust. The center gap allows the wood to breathe, while the natural bark-edge remains intact, offering a tactile, primordial connection to the outdoors. The Walnut Bridges: To unify the split top, dark Walnut "straps" are expertly inlaid across the surface. This functional joinery becomes a major visual element, providing a rhythmic, modern counterpoint to the organic edges of the locust. Sculptural Walnut Base: The top rests upon a pair of sweeping, U-shaped curved legs.
