Matchless Chieftain 40w 2x12" Combo Amplifier 1998 - Black

Here we have a Matchless Chieftain 2x12” combo amplifier! This one is from circa 1998 and it is in very good condition overall. It has 40 watts of power with EL34 power tubes and dual custom Matchless speakers. It’s a single channel amp with a master volume and onboard reverb. These sound fantastic, with plenty of power and responsiveness. The crunch has a biting mid with good articulation too. It shows light wear to the exterior, in line with its age, but nothing egregious. It includes the original power cable and of course has the iconic backlit nameplate.
