2022 La Chamade (Poulsard) Tony Bornard

The 2022 La Chamade Poulsard from Tony Bornard comes from Pupillin in France’s Jura region, an area known for its distinctive marl and limestone soils that give wines a savoury, mineral edge. Bornard runs a small organic estate of around 7 hectares, working naturally in the vineyard and cellar with native yeasts and minimal sulphur, allowing the terroir to shine. The warm 2022 vintage produced a riper, more generous style of Poulsard, showing lifted red cherry, wild raspberry and floral notes with earthy, smoky undertones and fine chalky grip. Fresh, juicy and lightly rustic, it pairs beautifully with Comté, cured meats or roast chicken.
