Nikka From The Barrel Extra Marriage

DESCRIPTION A limited edition Japanese blended whisky from Nikka, released in 2025 to mark the 40th anniversary of From the Barrel's debut in 1985. The blend draws on over 100 batches of malt and grain whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, before being filled into used oak barrels and married for up to six months, double the marrying period used in the original expression. Bottled at a higher strength of 51.4%. (Bottle size 500ml) TASTING NOTES Nose: Soft and mellow oak aroma. Rich chocolate, ripe fruit and vanilla sweetness, refreshing orange peel, and malt sweetness. Palate: Rich and full-bodied. Bold flavours with a smooth, mellow texture and fine oak tannins. Finish: Gentle oak aroma with a subtle bitterness on the long finish. JAPANESE WHISKY
