Meet The Forgotten Chair 001, the first individually numbered piece in my Forgotten Chair Collection. This beautiful vintage chair has a wonderfully delicate silhouette, with a carved crest, slender open back, traditional woven cane seat and finely turned detailing to the legs and stretchers. This fabulous chair has been used for years as a staging prop by Upcycled by Nicci and has had various painted finishes for this use, most recently refreshed with gel stain over the painted finish to bring back its warm, dark wood look allowing every original detail to stand out while retaining the character that makes older furniture so special. Petite in size, Chair 001 would sit beautifully in the corner of a cottage-style bedroom, beside a dressing table, in a hallway or as an occasional chair in a quiet reading corner. Its smaller proportions make it particularly useful where a full-sized dining chair might feel too imposing. Each chair in The Forgotten Chair Collection is offered individually and given its own number, celebrating those beautiful single chairs that might otherwise have been overlooked.
