These earrings are created using hand formed Sussex Clay before being painted (using a mixture of underglazes) and fired. Varying colours are applied to the front and sides, leaving the rear unglazed so the natural quality of the clay can be appreciated. I have imprinted them with little butterflies to add texture and interest :) The paints used are all second hand and I fire the clay only when there is spare space in a colleagues kiln (thanks to the Crafty Potter!!). They are hung on brass and the ear hooks are made from sterling silver coated with rose gold. Comfortable to wear and completely unique.
