WG24 Bauhaus table lamp, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, 1980s

This WG24 table lamp was designed in 1924 as part of an assignment at the Bauhaus school by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. This table lamp marked the beginning of his career. Lamp size is H: 37 / W: 19 / D: 19 cm. This particular lamp was made most likely by Tecnolumen, in Germany in the late 1970s or 1980s. It features a semi-circular shade, providing soft, evenly distributed light. The base is made of thick glass, and it’s connected to the shade by chrome-plated elements, creating a harmonious contrast. A unique feature of this lamp is the nickel-plated ball on the chain that serves as a switch.
