Silversmithing Jewellery - Self Directed - Tuesday Evenings - Starts 15th Sept

Dates: Tuesdays 18:00-20:00 6 weeks: 15th Sept. - 20th Oct. 11 weeks: 15th Sept. - 1st Dec. (half term, no session 27th Oct.) *BOOKINGS OPEN TO EXISTING STUDENTS ONLY * Metal Options: Metal costs are excluded for this course. Students will provide their own metals for their own projects. Some metals are available for purchase directly. Description; Immerse yourself the joy of designing your own beautiful handcrafted jewellery using traditional techniques to pierce, form, texture and solder. This course is for students with experience in a variety of piercing, texturing, forming, soldering and setting methods. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your core skills and pursue your own projects whilst developing your techniques to connect, texture, form and finish silver, supported by our resident jewellery tutor. Delve further into the wonderful world of jewellery making, improving and extending your skills as you go! Attendance on this course also offers the opportunity of priority booking onto the following term's course. Our friendly, purpose built studio is centrally located and courses are taught in small groups, of up to five students to enable creative and enjoyable learning. Perfect for those who have completed our Beginners 12 week course or who have previous experience of sawing and soldering of silver sheet and wire, texturing with hammers. 18 years old and over. Please note this is an adult workshop. However, provided they are accompanied by a ticket holding adult who assumes responsibility and deems it suitable for them 16-17 year olds are welcome to attend.
