LAiV Crescendo BEAT Dual-output linear power supply (Pre-Order)
Pre-Order now for delivery in September 2026 The LAiV Crescendo BEAT is a dual-output linear power supply built to replace the plastic switch-mode adapters that come bundled with so much good audio gear. It gives you a 15V rail at 2A and a 5V rail at 3A, both live at the same time, from a single fanless aluminium chassis. One BEAT powers two components. Inside is a 70VA toroidal transformer, Schottky rectification, nearly 18,000µF of filter capacitance, and two-stage linear regulation on each rail. The first stage absorbs mains ripple and load swings, then hands an already-clean rail to a low-noise second stage for the fine polishing. Each stage multiplies the other’s rejection, which is how the BEAT holds output noise at or below 10µVrms with no load and at or below 50µVrms at full load, with ripple rejection above 82dB. The 5V rail is sized for network streamers and the Harmony µDDC. The 15V rail is sized for the Crescendo VERSE and the Harmony µDAC. Two 50cm DC cables are in the box, and the BEAT is just as happy with non-LAiV components that accept 5V or 15V DC. Over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection are all built in, and a selector on the underside switches the mains between 100-127V and 220-240V, so it works wherever your system lives.
