Global Water Flow Probe
A handheld open-channel velocity meter on a telescoping wading rod. The propeller sensor reads water velocity directly and the display holds an averaging function, so you can walk a cross-section, take velocity at each station and work out discharge without a separate current meter setup.Choose your model — 2 questions How deep is the channel? Rod length sets your reach: FP311 extends 2.5–5.5 ft for shallow ditches and flumes, FP111 3–6 ft for typical streams and storm channels, FP211 5–15 ft for large channels and bridge work. Do you need the swivel head? The -S models let the sensor head rotate to face into the flow independently of the rod — useful in channels where the current sets at an angle to your wading line, or where you cannot stand square to the flow. Standard heads are fixed. Every model ships in a carrying case.ApplicationsStream gauging and discharge measurement, storm channel and outfall flow, irrigation ditches and canals, wastewater channels and flumes, and stream restoration monitoring.AccessoriesPropeller repair kits, the digital flow computer upgrade and replacement cases are in Flow Probe Parts & Accessories.Documentation FP111 / FP211 / FP311 Flow Probes — specifications (PDF) Flow Probe — user's manual (PDF) Contact us if you are unsure which rod length suits your channels.
