Folded Circle Pendant

The Folded Circle Pendant is a Pate De Verre Visca piece that is part of the "Spring Blooms Are Made In Winter Collection. The collection was developed through a combination of pate de verre casting and traditional glass slumping techniques. The material used is different fractions of glass frit melted at different temperatures to achieve the desired textures and transparencies. All the pieces are completely handmade and thus, result in unique variations. The driving force behind the collection was the capacity of broken fragments to form new constellations, not from restoring a whole but from establishing new relationships between parts: Where rupture becomes the condition for new identities rather than a loss to be repaired.
