The MA-5000 is Phasemation's response to a straightforward request: build the best amplifier possible around the 211 output tube. A parallel single-ended, pure Class-A pair of PSVANE WE-211 tubes — each on its own dedicated fixed-bias supply — is driven through Lundahl interstage transformers by a PSVANE WE-300B stage, resulting in 45W+ of output with the harmonic character 211-tube amplifiers are known for. The design carries Phasemation's full non-feedback, all-triode philosophy (ECC803 + 300B + WE-211), dual independent power transformers for driver and output stages, dual parallel 5R4G rectifiers, and a one-minute power-up delay timer.
