Etnella, ‘Noti Stellate’ Etna Rosso (2021)
Etna, Italy— Parcellaire Etna Rosso from Etna's Versante Nord. From over 750m elevation on the northern face of Mt. Etna this is mainly Nerello Mascalese with a bit of Nerello Capuccio. Grapes are hand-harvested from 107 year-old (!!!) vines planted to pure volcanic soils and macerate for 15 days prior to pressing and spontaneous fermentation/aging in chesnut barrel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
