The Floating Gown: Water Rabbit This is the Floating Gown- *the Water Rabbit.* It is an ethereal organza gown with dreamy translucent layers, a big beautiful skirt flowing from the hip with hand sewn vintage Japanese glass pearls. Including a translucent high neck bodice this design is at once sophisticated, romantic, and flattering, but very cozy - like you're wearing a cloud as you dance and eat, no shoes, no worries to be seen. She can be worn over our luxe vegan satin bridal slipdress (sold as an add-on and available in white as shown, a custom nude color, or a contrasting one of a kind color) or for the bolder, over more minimal undergarments for a layered dream come true. This Lunar New Year is of the Water Rabbit - the luckiest animal of the Chinese Zodiac. The lucky rabbit brings us a year of sweetness with rest and nest. The 360 degree design is a combination of beautiful 3D handbeaded ivory sequin flowers, ivory champagne and silver flower designs, and sparkly gorgeous remnant trim. Together, they represent the luck that is blooming for you this year. This FLOATING gown was sourced and designed by me (Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart), working with the amazing NYC couturier Mika Inatome to bring it to LIFE. This design is made of vegan organza from 100% post-consumer recycled fibers with trim that is a combination of beautifully beaded handmade deadstock and remnant pieces. Vintage deadstock trim: Handcrafted sequined trim from 20 year ago from one of the best beaded factories. This trim has never been used before, but also cannot be made again since the factory is no longer around - this limits how many can be made of this design. Vintage 1950's Japanese glass pearls (made of glass) which were made in Japan and sent the US in the 50's for jewelry at that time, but never circulated. They are a preserved little piece of that era, which we handsew to the skirt for a little added dimension. Landfill diverted Fabric Remnants: Each of this design includes a one of a kind portion of a rhinestone appliqué handplaced and handcut into the design. The color and size and material of this piece will always be similar to this element pictured here, but makes each gown a one of a kind design and will have a unique element to it. Vegan organza made of 100% post-consumer recycled fibers: Our organza is is created by an award winning Asian female founded textile house in Australia and Asia, with factories that are certified to OEKO-TEX 100 and bluesign (no harmful chemicals in the dye), recycled fibers certified GRS and GOTS, with fabric machines run by skilled engineers paid much higher than traditional textile production wages. Each gown recycles around 20+ plastic bottles in a mechanical process. xo Leanne
