Confirm the clamp is fully seated and both jaws make continuous contact before loading the arm. Never clamp to plastic trim, upholstery, or anything that flexes. Hand-tighten only. Never use tools on the knobs. Over-tightening strips threads and is not covered under warranty. A secondary safety tether is required for any moving-vehicle use. A 12" arm places the load far from the clamp, which increases leverage on every joint. Keep the camera close to the clamp and lighten the load on vertical or angled setups.
