Python, and no two the same. Every skin runs its own scales. The size changes, the pattern moves, the color turns warmer or cooler down the length of the hide. The case in these photographs is one of them. Yours will be its own. Reticulated python, Malayopython reticulatus, chrome tanned in a matte natural finish. CITES II certified and imported under the permits that trade requires. The front cut is the wide panel carrying the diamond pattern, and it is the one we work from, so the case reads as one continuous run of scales instead of a seam of small pieces. Brass base plate AirTag bay, hidden No two skins alike Lined edge to edge Specifications Materials In Use In the Box Compatibility Care FAQ Fits. Leica M11, Leica M EV1. Plate finish. Solid brass. Tripod. Concealed Arca profile, flush at the bottom. The camera goes on a tripod without the case coming off. Threads. Two, 1/4 inch by 20. Tracking. AirTag bay machined into the brass plate, with its own keychain tool to open it. The tag itself is Apple's and is never included. Base. Anti-skid treatment. You feel it the moment you set the camera on a flat surface. Access. Battery, SD card and USB-C, all reachable with the case on. Interior. Fully lined and padded. The finish of the camera never meets bare metal or bare leather. Weight. 183 grams. Production. Close to three days of machining and hand work go into each one, which is why only a handful leave the bench each month. Grade 2. That is the supplier's own term for a skin that carries some natural marking and areas of discoloration, and it is the grade we chose on purpose. Every panel falls differently across the body, so no two cases leave the shop with the same pattern. If you want a finish with no variation, this is not the one. Base plate. Solid brass, machined in our own shop. Lined and padded inside. The finish of the camera never touches bare material. Made in Miami. Cut, machined and finished in our own shop. The skin you getPython is not printed. The scales in these photographs belong to one hide and yours will belong to another, which is the whole point of a Grade 2 front cut. A day of carrying it183 grams, lined and padded, so the camera never meets bare metal. The skin is chrome tanned, so it takes damp better than a vegetable tanned hide. On the tripod, then off againThe Arca profile is machined into the brass and sits flush, so the camera drops onto a head and comes back off without the case ever leaving it. Knowing where it isThe AirTag bay is machined into the plate and opens only with the keychain tool in the box. The tag itself is Apple's. FlexCase. One, in python with a solid brass base plate. Keychain tool. Opens the AirTag compartment. AirTag. Never included. Apple sell the tag; what is machined into the plate is the bay it drops into, and the keychain tool that opens it. Leica M11 and M EV1. Cut for those two bodies. It does not fit the M10 or earlier M bodies unless that is confirmed separately. The M11 D has its own FlexCase, because the plate is machined to the body it sits under. The case stays on. Battery, SD card and USB-C are all reachable without taking the camera out of the skin. Straight onto a tripod. The Arca profile is concealed in the base plate, so the head takes the camera with the case still fitted. Two quarter twenty threads. For a plate, a grip, a cage or a strap anchor. Wipe the scales with a dry cloth, following the direction they lie rather than against it. If the case takes on water, let it dry away from direct heat, because heat is what lifts and hardens a scale edge. The skin is chrome tanned, so it tolerates damp better than a vegetable tanned hide and needs no conditioner on a schedule. Do not work oil or cream under the scales trying to darken it; a matte natural python is meant to stay matte. Brass dulls as it oxidizes. Leave it and it darkens evenly, which is what most people want; polish it and it returns to bright. Will my case look like the photographs?. In finish and construction, yes. In pattern, no. Python is not printed, so the scales in these pictures belong to one hide and yours will belong to another. Does the case come off to charge or change cards?. No. Battery, SD card and USB-C stay reachable with the case on. Can I put it straight on a tripod?. Yes. The Arca profile is machined into the base and sits flush, so nothing needs removing first. Does an AirTag come with it?. No, and it never has. What we machine is the bay in the brass plate and the keychain tool that opens it. The tag is Apple's, and the one in the photographs is there to show the fit. How does the brass age?. It darkens as it oxidizes. Left alone it goes down evenly. Polished, it comes back bright.
