Rhythm Landscape #45 continues my exploration of the movement and shifting light found within the Australian bush, scaled up to a more panoramic landscape format. This piece uses a mix of acrylic and oil stick on canvas to build a heavily textured, layered surface. The wider composition allowed me to stretch out the horizon, emphasizing the rhythmic, vertical canopy of white tree trunks cutting through a backdrop of warm ochre hills. There's an interplay of light filtering through the trees, with pops of soft yellow and subtle pink balancing the deeper forest greens and earthy tones.
