Etched Art Nouveau Copper Tray with Scalloped Edge by Joseph Sankey, c1900

A beautifully designed copper serving tray with delicate details. Etching features a floral repeating design around the scalloped edge. Copper has been polished with high luster and beautiful warmth. The back of the tray is stamped "J.S. & S. Solid Copper Made in England", indicating production by Joseph Sankey & Sons, c1900. Joseph Sankey & Sons was a highly successful British metalworking company famous for producing mass-market, decorative Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts style brass and copper homewares between roughly 1890 and 1930.
