Tormore 16 Year Old benefits from double maturation with deliberately gentle wood influence to allow the spirit’s character to shine. Further matured in a variety of sherry casks for layers of flavour and structure, and non-chill filtered for a slightly richer and more luscious, creamy mouthfeel. The result, a beautifully balanced sherry style that doesn’t mask the pure, fruity spirit of Tormore. Spiced buttered brioche leads to sticky dates, demerara fudge and lemon oil. Blueberry jam and vanilla fudge create layers of luscious depth. Tormore use a small proportion of Oloroso sherry butts that are made of French oak because they bring in darker, more nutty, almost savoury notes and spices. And it blends really well with the sweetness we get from the American oak Cream Sherry casks. This is a full after dinner dram which has a beginning, middle and end.
