Dawn Tetra / White Spot Tetra Scientific Name: Aphyocharax paraguayensis The Dawn Tetra, also commonly known as the White Spot Tetra, is an attractive and active schooling fish recognised by its silvery body, subtle warm tones, and distinctive pale markings. Their energetic behaviour and shimmering appearance make them an interesting addition to a tropical community aquarium. These tetras are social and should be kept in a school of at least 6, although larger groups are recommended. Keeping them in good numbers encourages natural behaviour and helps spread any chasing or fin-nipping within the group. They readily accept a varied diet of quality flakes, micro pellets, and frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia. An active and eye-catching schooling tetra that brings movement, subtle colour, and plenty of character to the tropical aquarium.
