Warriors Homecoming | A Ritual Storytelling Open Mic

Ritual Storytelling Open Mic: Warriors Homecoming is a two-part storytelling experience designed to honor the timeless tradition of sharing one’s truth as a pathway to healing, connection, and community reintegration. Hosted at inkwell., an arts incubator rooted in expression and connection, this series is presented in partnership with Women Veterans Empowered & Thriving (WVET), an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families through evidence-based reintegration practices that bridge ancient wisdom with modern care. Drawing inspiration from ancient warrior cultures, where storytelling was an essential part of returning home. Warriors Homecoming reimagines that ritual for the modern era. Throughout history, warriors have gathered in circles to speak their experiences aloud, transforming memory into meaning and isolation into belonging. This experience creates space for that same transformation to happen here and now. This open mic invites veterans, artists, and community members alike to step forward—or simply bear witness—in an environment rooted in respect, courage, and authenticity. Whether you have a story to share or feel called to listen, your presence is valued and your voice is welcome. This limited two-part series will take place on: Tuesday, April 22nd Tuesday, May 26th Doors open at 5:30 PM, with storytelling beginning at 6:00 PM. Admission is donation-based, with a suggested contribution of $10, or whatever you are able to give. No one will be turned away.
