Ulmus americana 'Princeton' - Princeton American Elm
Commonly known as American elm, is a medium to large deciduous tree. It typically grows to heights of 60-80 feet, with a vase-shaped, broad-rounded crown. In spring, small green flowers appear before the emergence of foliage, which are followed by wafer-like samaras containing single seeds surrounded by flattened oval-rounded papery wings. The rough-textured dark green leaves have toothed margins and asymmetrical bases, but their fall color is generally undistinguished, turning a modest yellow.
