Vintage Balamuti Mother of Pearl Bead Necklace

An absolute stunner of a Balamuti mother of pearl beaded necklace, with such gorgeous lustre catching the light, the chunky beads are interspaced with smaller lilac beads which may be amethyst. The lustre has an almost rainbow iridescence which I failed to capture on the camera lens. Balamuti MOP bead necklace. Barrel or "mutton fat" style beads, with glowing iridescent, pearlescent finish. Antique 1900s-Deco era. No fastener. 19" drop (38" full length). Lovely wearable condition.
