Summer Dreams, Walking on Venice Beach Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma Coast, 2022
Each hillside vineyard site is chosen for the generous slope, unique sequence of Goldridge soils, ranging from 900-1900 feet above sea level, and microclimate to add dimension to the wines. A rare, fine-grained sandy loam, Goldridge soils are known for excellent drainage, and a characteristically light and fluffy texture. A particularly unique site, this vineyard is considered one of the oldest vine Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in California originally planted in 1980. The coastal climate of the region is marked by warm, dry summers and cool, damp winters.
